We are a team of zoologists and naturalists that specialise in wildlife tourism including birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects.
Ecotourism has always been our passion, we love to talk about the biology and ecology of the species or habitats we encounter as well as seeing them, and this is why we decided to become wildlife guides!
Thanks to our professional backgrounds and skills we ensure quality in every tour.
Although we have similar but different backgrounds, specialising in various animal groups, we are all knowledgeable of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects.
Simone Giachello
Naturalist and photographer with a strong interest in herpetofauna and mountain environments, Simone holds a PhD from the University of Milan, where he studied the impacts of climate change on high-altitude ecosystems. Alongside his academic work, he is involved in conservation projects across Italy, with a particular focus on amphibians.
Through the combination of work and passion, he has explored first Italy and then the wider world, ranging from the caves of Sardinia to the Mauritanian Sahel, from the peaks of the Alps to the Danube Delta, from the cloud forests of Costa Rica to the glaciers of Svalbard. Whether on a day hike or a month-long expedition, Simone enjoys exploring remote areas in search of rare and elusive species, while also valuing the beauty of more common wildlife.
Riccardo Mattea
Born in Italy, Riccardo holds a degree in Zoology and a Master’s in Biodiversity Conservation obtained in the UK. His research and academic work have taken him to countries such as Peru, Ecuador, and Uganda.
He is an official guide of the Monti Sibillini National Park and an expert in birds, with strong experience in the observation and identification of species in mountain environments. Passionate about nature photography, he complements his fieldwork with macro photography and the study of various wildlife groups such as reptiles, amphibians and insects. As a wildlife guide, he guides participants in discovering local flora and fauna, sharing practical knowledge and photography tips directly in the field.
Gianluca Damiani
Born in Rome in 1998, he has been passionate about nature and wildlife since childhood. He holds degrees in Natural Sciences and Conservation Biology and has published books as well as scientific and popular science articles. He has collaborated as a technician, consultant, and cameraman with television productions and with various public and private institutions.
He currently works in conservation, monitoring, and science communication, with a particular focus on birds, large mammals, and urban wildlife. He is also an expert in large carnivores and is highly skilled at tracking and locating species such as wolves and bears in the field. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Tuscia, focusing on the adaptation of birds to urban environments.
