Multy-Day Tours
Our multi-day tours are designed for those who want a deeper and more immersive experience of Italian wildlife and landscapes.
While a day tour can offer an excellent introduction to a place, some habitats and species require more time. Multi-day tours allow us to travel further, follow wildlife at the right hours of the day, and explore different altitudes and habitats.
Italy is a remarkably diverse country from a natural history point of view. Within a relatively small geographical area, it is possible to move from Mediterranean scrubland to alpine meadows, from coastal wetlands to ancient forests, from volcanic landscapes to remote mountain valleys. This diversity is one of the reasons why multi-day tours can be so rewarding.
These tours give access to some of the wildest and most interesting areas of Italy, including places that are difficult to visit properly on shorter trips. Depending on the season and destination and, of course, your preferences, we may focus on large mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, butterflies, orchids, mountain wildlife, coastal wetlands or broader natural history.
A multi-day itinerary also gives us more flexibility. Wildlife watching is strongly influenced by weather, light, animal activity and local conditions. Having more than one day in the field allows us to adapt the programme, return to promising areas, dedicate time to dawn or dusk observations, and include night walks when appropriate.
The aim is not only to collect sightings, but to build a richer understanding of the landscapes we visit. Tracks, calls, feeding signs, habitat structure, seasonal movements and ecological relationships are all part of the experience.
Our multi-day tours are suitable for travellers who want to go beyond a quick visit and experience Italy as a wildlife destination in its own right: complex, varied, and often surprisingly wild.
