Although Italy is famous for its architecture, food and museums, wilderness is never as far away as many visitors imagine. From several major tourist cities, it is possible to reach rich natural areas in less than one or two hours and spend time exploring a very different side of the country.
Our day tours usually start from cities and destinations such as Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice and Naples, and are designed to offer a direct introduction to the wildlife of the Italian peninsula.
Day tours are perfect if you are short on time but would like to enrich your trip to Italy with a meaningful nature experience. Even a few hours in the right habitat can offer rewarding encounters, from birds and mammals to reptiles, butterflies, orchids, tracks, calls and seasonal wildlife behaviour.
